Impact of the dissemination of child pornography on the integral development of children and adolescents [Impacto de la difusión de pornografía infantil en el desarrollo integral de niños y adolescentes]

The dissemination of child pornography is one of the most atrocious crimes against the integrity and development of children and adolescents, violating fundamental rights enshrined in international instruments and national regulations. The objective of this study is to analyze the impact of the dissemination of child pornography on the integral development of children and adolescents. Twelve academic articles published between 2014 and 2023, from refereed journals, were selected. the protection of the sexual integrity of minors should be strengthened through measures that prioritize comprehensive reparation, including psychological assistance and lasting protection measures. Although the Ecuadorian regulatory framework includes provisions to punish this crime, there are gaps in its practical implementation, particularly in prevention, comprehensive reparation and adaptation to technological challenges.
