Emotional and psychological wellbeing in children and adolescents from the Ecuadorian State [Bienestar emocional y psicológico en niños, niñas y adolescentes desde el estado ecuatoriano]

The emotional and psychological well-being of children and adolescents is a fundamental component to guarantee their integral development and the full exercise of their rights. The objective is presented as an analysis of emotional and psychological well-being in children and adolescents from the Ecuadorian state. Twelve scientific articles published between 2018 and 2024, from refereed journals, were selected. Problems such as chronic malnutrition, intrafamily violence, migration and poverty continue to significantly affect this dimension of development. The promotion of healthy intra-family relationships, the ethical use of information technologies and the active collaboration of civil society are key strategies that, together with a comprehensive and intercultural approach, can contribute to the full development of this population. This requires a renewed commitment from the State to ensure sustainable and equitable programs that protect and strengthen the psychological well-being of children and adolescents.
