In the era of artificial intelligence (AI), access and processing of public information have generated implications for the right to privacy, marking new challenges in the regulation and protection of personal data. From the above approaches, the objective of this research is to analyze from a legal perspective privacy when accessing public information in the era of artificial intelligence in the context of Ecuador. The documentary review of 23 scientific articles was structured around thematic categories. For Ecuador to take advantage of the benefits of e-government and AI without compromising fundamental rights, it is essential that public policies include citizen participation and reinforce the commitment to ethics and digital transparency. Only governance policies that prioritize the protection of personal data can ensure technological development that respects and strengthens democratic principles and individual rights.
