Objetivo: analizar el asesoramiento genético. Método: Revisión sistemática. Resultados y conclusión: El asesoramiento genético en la práctica médica contemporánea es una alternativa, al proporcionar orientación integral frente a condiciones de origen genético, permitiendo a los pacientes y sus familias comprender la contribución genética de las enfermedades, adaptarse a los riesgos asociados y tomar decisiones informadas sobre diagnóstico, manejo y tratamiento.
