Abstract

Objective: To analyse the impact of regenerative therapies on the recovery of periodontal tissues damaged by advanced periodontitis. Method: systematic review of 15 scientific articles in the population. Results and Conclusion: Regenerative therapies have had an impact on the management of advanced periodontitis, providing innovative solutions that allow the regeneration of lost periodontal tissues, such as alveolar bone, root cementum and periodontal ligament, overcoming the limitations of conventional treatments. These strategies have been shown to improve periodontal function and patients' quality of life by restoring structures that are essential for oral health. Advanced technologies, such as the use of stem cells, nanoparticles and haemocomponents, have broadened the therapeutic possibilities, especially in complex cases, by offering more precise and effective approaches.
