Objective: to analyse the role of nursing in the management of traumatic brain injury. Method: Systematic review of 15 scientific articles. Results and conclusion: The evidence suggests that the quality of nursing care has a significant influence on the clinical outcomes and quality of life of patients with TBI. Important gaps are identified between scientific evidence and clinical practice, especially in resource-limited settings, related to the lack of specialised training, the absence of standardised protocols and the structural limitations of healthcare systems.
