Higher education has undergone a significant transformation in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic. In this context, the present study aims to analyse post-COVID-19 educational innovation in university settings. We reviewed 15 references that address the impact of these methodologies in university teaching, both in face-to-face, virtual and hybrid environments. The implementation of active methodologies in post-COVID-19 university teaching has profoundly transformed pedagogical processes, favouring student-centred learning that promotes critical thinking, autonomy and collaboration. This responds to today's demands for flexibility and adaptability, essential in a hybrid and digital learning environment. However, its success depends on continuous teacher training and adequate infrastructure to ensure equity and accessibility for all students.
