Abstract

Objective: To analyse gingival bleeding: Impact of systemic conditions, oral hygiene habits and periodontal treatments. Method: Systematic review. Results: 15 scientific articles were reviewed. Conclusion: Gingival bleeding is a key indicator of oral health that may reflect both local problems and underlying systemic conditions. The studies reviewed highlight the influence of factors such as autoimmune diseases, viral infections, and habits such as smoking, as well as socioeconomic inequalities affecting access to preventive and therapeutic treatments.
