Objective: to analyse the use of temporary anchorage devices (TADs) in the orthodontic treatment of Class II malocclusions. Method: systematic review. Results: 15 scientific articles were reviewed. Conclusion: Temporary anchorage devices (TADs) have emerged as an effective and versatile solution in the orthodontic treatment of Class II malocclusions, allowing precise control of complex tooth movements such as retraction, intrusion and distalisation without the need to rely on traditional anchorage structures. Its application not only improves treatment efficiency, reducing time and the need for extractions, but also minimises stress on the alveolar bone, favouring more predictable aesthetic and functional results.
