Digital platform hearings for transparency in the Ecuadorian justice system [Audiencias por plataformas digitales para la transparencia de la justicia en el Ecuador]

The objective was to describe the implementation of digital platform hearings for transparency in the justice system in Ecuador, analysing their benefits, challenges and prospects. This model has optimised resources, reduced processing times and expanded access to justice, especially in a country with marked geographical and social inequalities. However, it faces limitations related to technological infrastructure, training of judicial personnel and digital equity. Through a descriptive documentary approach and content analysis, significant progress was identified, but also the need for resilient regulations, digital literacy, and inclusive public policies. International experiences and the context of the pandemic show that digital justice requires not only technological changes, but also cultural and procedural transformations to ensure transparency, citizen trust, and respect for fundamental procedural principles.
