The objective of the research is to describe the influence of criminal gangs on Ecuadorian adolescents from a legal perspective. A descriptive documentary research was carried out, using as documentary population 15 open access scientific articles, published between 2018 and 2024. The analysis carried out shows that factors such as family breakdown, poverty, lack of access to education, addictions and exposure to violent environments are decisive in the recruitment of adolescents by these organizations. Likewise, deficiencies are identified in the juvenile penal system, which does not always guarantee the rehabilitation and social reinsertion of offenders, limiting itself in many cases to punitive measures that do not address the structural causes of the problem.
