Legal categories on land, territory and rights in the Ecuadorian context [Categorías jurídicas en el contexto ecuatoriano sobre tierra, territorio y derechos]

The current study's research objective is to unveil documentary categories for legal analysis in the Ecuadorian context on land, territory and rights. A systematic review of 12 scientific articles was carried out. The following categories were revealed: 1. Peasantry, inequality and land distribution; 2. Agrarian reform and historical transformations; 3. From the category of peasantry, inequality and land distribution, it is highlighted how structural inequities in land tenure and access to land perpetuate asymmetrical power relations, while studies on agrarian reform and historical transformations show the impact of agrarian policies, both internal and influenced by external actors, on the configuration of the State and power relations in the countryside.
