Pacientes pediátricos y su relación con la anestesia dental [Pediatric patients and their relation to dental anesthesia]

Objetivo: describir la atención a los pacientes pediátricos y su relación con la anestesia dental. Método: revisión sistemática en población de 15 articulos científicos. Resultados y Conclusión: La anestesia, en sus diferentes modalidades (local, sedación o general), no solo permite manejar casos de ansiedad, falta de cooperación o procedimientos complejos, sino que también es indispensable en pacientes con necesidades especiales o condiciones médicas subyacentes, se evidencian tendencias como el incremento en el uso de anestesia general para procedimientos integrales y la necesidad de fortalecer estrategias educativas y de seguimiento para garantizar la continuidad del cuidado dental.
