Objective: to analyse advances in guided bone regeneration (GBR) and its application in dentistry. Method: systematic review of 16 scientific articles. Results and Conclusion: Guided bone regeneration (GBR) constitutes an innovative therapeutic paradigm in regenerative dentistry, integrating osteoconductive biomaterials such as calcium phosphates, macroporous three-dimensional scaffolds and bioactive membranes that optimise bone neoformation in craniofacial defects.
