Abstract

Objective: to compare obturation techniques in endodontic treatments. Method: systematic review of 21 scientific articles. Results and Conclusion: The scientific evidence studied shows that the choice of endodontic obturation technique significantly influences the clinical success of the treatment. Thermoplastic techniques have demonstrated superiority in three-dimensional adaptation and sealing homogeneity, especially in canals with complex anatomies, while bioceramic sealants enhance these results by improving tubular penetration and reducing microleakage. Although conventional techniques such as cold lateral compaction are still widely used due to their accessibility, they have limitations in terms of adaptation and sealing.
