Hospital mortality indicators for the years 2013 to 2023 [Indicadores de mortalidad hospitalaria en los años 2013 al 2023]

Objective: to present the hospital mortality indicators for the years 2013 to 2023 based on INEC data. Method: Epidemiological statistics. Results and conclusion: The analysis of hospital mortality indicators in Ecuador during the period 2013-2023 shows their importance as key tools for evaluating the quality of health services and the impact of public policies. Over the years, significant variations have been observed in the indicators, influenced by factors such as gender, the main causes of morbidity and the arrival of the COVID-19 pandemic, which marked a turning point in hospital mortality trends.
