Objective: to describe the social determinants of health. Method: Systematic review. Results and conclusion: The social determinants of health play a crucial role in shaping people's health and well-being, as they are profoundly influenced by social, economic, environmental and political factors. The literature reviewed highlights the importance of addressing structural inequalities and promoting equity as fundamental principles in public health.
