Objective: analyze the limiting factors for knowledge of the Pap smear test in women of childbearing age. Method: descriptive observational in 35 students. Results and Conclusion: One result to consider is that, although 62.9% of the women had undergone the PAP test, 37.1% had never done so, citing lack of time and embarrassment as the main barriers. This indicates that, in addition to lack of knowledge, there are other factors that influence the decision not to undergo the test.
