Abstract

Objective: To study ischemic stroke in men with hypertension, diabetes and smoking from a clinical case. Results and Conclusion: A 64-year-old unemployed man with a history of high blood pressure and diabetes, who has been actively smoking 10 cigarettes a day. The use of acute therapies, such as nimodipine and acetylsalicylic acid, together with secondary prevention strategies, are essential to improve prognosis and reduce the likelihood of recurrence.
