Objective: to study neurocysticercosis and conditions affecting the central nervous system from a clinical case. Method: Clinical case. Results: This clinical case highlights the importance of a timely diagnosis, based on the correlation of clinical findings, neuroimaging studies and, in specific cases, serological tests or invasive procedures. Appropriate therapeutic management, including anticonvulsants, anti-inflammatories and, in certain circumstances, antiparasitics, allows for a favourable clinical outcome, as observed in this patient.
