Objective: to analyze dental whitening and its stability over time. Method: systematic population review of 15 scientific articles. Results and Conclusion: Tooth whitening is a procedure widely used in esthetic dentistry, with effective short-term results, but whose long-term stability depends on factors such as the patient's habits, diet, smoking and maintenance strategies.
