Objective: to analyse the benefits of proper nutrition in professional drivers. Method: systematic review was applied, the population was refined to 15 related scientific articles. Conclusion: Adequate nutrition in professional drivers is essential to mitigate the risks associated with their sedentary lifestyle and long working hours, which contribute to the development of chronic diseases such as abdominal obesity and cardiovascular complications. The evidence reviewed suggests that drivers have a high prevalence of poor eating habits, exacerbated by work-related stress and lack of nutritional education.
