Resumen

Objetivo: analizar las complicaciones postoperatorias en la cirugía ortognática bimaxilar. Método: revisión sistemática en población de 39 articulos científicos. Resultados y Conclusión: El análisis sistemático de las complicaciones postoperatorias en cirugía ortognática bimaxilar devela un panorama complejo donde la estabilidad esquelética, posición condilar y función respiratoria surgen como aspectos fundamentales para el éxito terapéutico. Por lo tanto, se evidencia la necesidad de protocolos personalizados que consideren las características anatómicas individuales, especialmente en pacientes con condiciones complejas como fisuras labiopalatinas.
