The objective is to identify the contribution of chemometrics, forensic computing, and testimony psychology as applicable elements in forensic science in Ecuador. A descriptive methodology was applied in the documentary analysis of 14 scientific papers related to the subject. In the Ecuadorian context, its implementation faces challenges such as the need for specialised equipment, technical training and technological upgrades. However, its growing use reflects significant progress in the modernisation of the judicial system, contributing to the resolution of complex cases, the fight against drug trafficking and cybercrime, and the guarantee of fairer and more transparent judicial processes.
